There is no such thing called 10 on 10!
Embracing the 7/10 Rule to make Better Decisions
We’re often conditioned to seek perfection – the elusive 10/10 in our partners, careers, or life choices. However, the truth is, there’s no such thing as a perfect 10. At best, we can hope for a solid 7 out of 10.
Think about it – every decision we deem “great” has around 7 positive attributes out of the 10 variables that define an ideal situation. It’s virtually impossible to check every single box.
So, instead of chasing an unattainable 10, embrace the 7/10 rule. It is simple and can be done in a day’s time!
Identify the 3 variables that matter most to you and will drive maximum happiness.
Identify another 3 that would be great added bonuses.
Identify another 3 that you really dont care much about.
As for the remaining 1? Well, it may not even belong on your list in the first place!
Perfection is a myth, but a well-rounded 7/10 is achievable and often more than enough.
By prioritizing what truly matters to you and letting go of the rest, you’ll make better decisions – whether it’s choosing a business partner, finding your life partner, or landing your dream job.
